ST Consulting is not
an incorporated company as one might think...
ST Consulting is my - Sergei Tchernenkov
- "business name", and I am a Well Interventions' Engineer, Consultant working internationally. That's me on
the picture...
I also have
a lot of friends who have oilfield specialties not only as job but also as lifestile, almost a a hobbie!
Therefore, we never stay out of business...
Now - a few words about me...
I
had graduated as drilling engineer who, however, dedicated himself to workover, completion and well services business. Before
starting my consulting career I had taken most of imaginable positions in workover and completion rig crew. While having a
status of a Consultant, I have been supervising and technically managing the broad range of well intervention operations,
where I input much of my dedication into training and mentoring of the younger or less-experienced oilfield personnel. That
is, in fact, advantage of whole ST-related friends' group, since they know the job from inside out!
Started in early 1990 as floorhand on Russian workover rig, I had moved up through all rig positions on Russian
rigs and since 1993 on international rigs and became Workover Rig Toolpusher in 1995. Afterwards, I worked as Workover equipment
and technology instructor, and then started my overseas career in 1997.
In
2000 I was contracted by TOTAL as Workover / Completion Supervisor, and took 4 Contract with this E&P Company in Yemen and Nigeria
until 2008. Year 2004 was the cornerstone of my career as I moved to Nigeria, where new experince in offshore and deep water
operations gave the new push to my professional development.
From summer
2008 I consults German company Wintershall (Oil & Gas E&P division of BASF Group) leading the Workover Campaign in Libya (onshore).
Full
details on my career may be found in RESUME here.
In perallel with my main dutied in the oilfield, I have been working on software
development for oilfield specialists. I have published about 20 of Microsoft Excel-based Templates, which were designed for
any level of oilfield professionals from drillers to engineers. All of those were published by
Oil-and-Gas-Online as free software and some of them still can be found on VetricalNet sites.
Later and deeper knowledge of Visual Basic
and Basic4PPC had allowed me to develop more advanced application for Windows and PocketPC platforms. The links to the software page is available at this site's menu.
I am a member of
SPE International, and participate in other professional communities such as Energy Institute UK, Oil-and-Gas-Online, Russian Oil Forum, ICoTA, and many others.
In
2008 I had received the recognition letter and prize award from SPE Board of Directors for the active participation in SPE
eMentoring Program.
